East Hoke Middle School students were excited to greet Justin Kuhel as he walked by their school on his 2,700 mile journey across the country.  Kuhel, 25, is a former Marine who served in both Iraq and Afghanistan.  He hopes to raise $100,000 for two veteran charities, as well as offer citizens an opportunity to show their support for the military.  Kuhel began his journey on May 23 in Camp Lejeune and plans to walk 23 miles a day for the next 4.5 months until his journey ends at Camp Pendleton in California.  Kuhel was on Day 6 of his 'March Across America' when he walked by East Hoke Middle School.  Students and staff cheered Kuhel on, eagerly shaking hands and talking photos as drivers on HWY 401 honked their horns in support.  One student yelled from the crowd," You can do it!  We think you can make it!"
