Sandy Grove Middle School named National ENR Best of the Best

Sandy Grove Middle School has been named the National ENR Best of the Best project in the K-12 Education category.  This recognition comes on the heels of Sandy Grove Middle School being named the best K-12 project in the Southeast by ENR.  To learn more about this honor, visit these links:

About Sandy Grove Middle School
Sandy Grove Middle School is located in Lumber Bridge, N.C.  Built via a public-private partnership and designed to achieve LEED Platinum certification, Sandy Grove Middle School brings innovation and 21st century technology to rural Hoke County.  SGMS incorporates more than 2,300 solar panels that are estimated to generate 30% more electricity than the school will require.  As a result, it is estimated that the county will save about $16 million on its energy bills over the next 40 years.
