• Incentives for New Employees

     
     

    Signing Bonus - $500.00

    • Applies to fully certified,[1] highly qualified[2] teachers, media specialists and guidance personnel
    • Bonus is payable after the first 30 days of employment and will be paid in the following paycheck
    • Employees hired January 1st or after will receive the signing bonus in the first paycheck of the next school year based on continued employment with Hoke County Schools
    • Employee must sign an agreement to repay the bonus if they voluntarily leave during the current school year (pro-rated)
    • Employees who have received a signing bonus and leave the Hoke County School District will not be eligible signing bonus within a three year period

    Relocation Bonus - $500.00

    • Applies to fully certified, highly qualified teachers, media specialists/guidance personnel
    • Employee must be new to Hoke County Schools and reside in Hoke County within the first year of employment
    • Must show proof of residency in Hoke County (lease, rental agreement, mortgage or purchase information)
    • Employees will not be reimbursed until lease or mortgage starts AND not until they begin work for Hoke County Schools

    Tuition/Praxis Reimbursement

    • Up to $750 per course, for the actual costs of tuition, textbooks, and most fees
    • Reimbursement will be paid after the completion of course(s) and after all required paperwork and request(s) are submitted to Human Resources
    • Hoke County Schools will reimburse up to two (2) complete Praxis tests
    • Tuition/Praxis Reimbursement will be paid 2-3 weeks after appropriate documentation is submitted to Human Resources

    Local Supplement - 6%

    • Given to Hoke County Schools licensed employees
    • Twice a year in June and November, 3% each

     

    Licensure Fee

    • Hoke County Schools will pay your initial licensure fee
