Public Comment

Notice: The times for the regularly schedule Hoke County Board of Education meetings has changed from 6:30 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Unless otherwise noted, the Hoke County Board of Education meets for its regular meeting on the second Tuesday of each month at 6 p.m. at the Board of Education at 310 Wooley St., Raeford, NC. 

Members of the public are invited to speak during the public comment portion of the Board’s regularly scheduled monthly Board meeting.

  • A sign-up sheet will be available prior to the start of the Board meeting. Only individuals or groups who have signed up will be permitted to speak and comments will be limited to three minutes, with a total of thirty minutes set aside for public comment.
  • Board members will not respond to or address speakers’ comments.
  • Comments regarding particular individual employees, student records, or other matters which are required to be kept confidential may not be discussed in this open forum setting.
  • All comments must be respectful and civil per ordinary rules of order and decorum.

Hoke County Schools Board of Education Special Called Meeting--Monday, April 20, 2026

Date: Thursday, April 16, 2026

The Hoke County Board of Education will hold a Special Called meeting at 4:00 pm on Monday, April 20, 2026. The purpose of the meeting is for the Board to review, consider, and take any necessary action on the following agenda item(s):

  • Hoke County High School Project.

Additionally, the Board will enter closed session to consult with the Board attorney to prevent the disclosure of information that is privileged or confidential and to preserve the attorney-client privilege as provided in N.C. Gen. Stat. § 143-318.11(a)(1) and (6).

The meeting will be held at the Hoke County Board of Education located at 310 Wooley Street, Raeford, NC 28376.
