Welcome to the Hoke County Schools Exceptional Children Department!

It is an honor to serve as the Director of Exceptional Children and to work alongside our students, families, educators, school leaders, and community partners.

My purpose as Director is simple: to ensure that students with disabilities are at the heart of the work we do and that families know they have a valued voice in their child's educational journey. I believe strong EC programs are built through relationships, collaboration, high expectations, accountability, and a genuine commitment to doing what is best for students.

I am passionate about creating an EC Department where families feel welcomed and heard, educators feel supported and equipped, and our students are provided meaningful opportunities to learn, grow, belong, and succeed.

We will not always have every answer, and challenges will arise, but my commitment is that we will approach our work with compassion, professionalism, transparency, and a solutions-focused mindset. We will listen, learn, collaborate, celebrate progress, and continually look for ways to improve how we serve our students and families.

Exceptional Children Services is more than programs, paperwork, and processes—it is about people, possibilities, and purpose. I look forward to building strong partnerships throughout Hoke County and working together to make a meaningful difference for every student we serve.
