The Hoke County Schools Library Media Program is dedicated to fostering the love of reading for pleasure and information by providing students, staff, and all stakeholders with the resources, technology, and skills needed to spark learning. Every school library will provide a nurturing, safe, and inviting environment and make every effort to meet the educational and social-emotional needs of all patrons so that they may excel in our global community.
Book or Treat Literacy Event
Hoke County Schools Library Media Services invites families to our Book or Treat event on Friday, October 17, 2025, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at 311 North Bethel Road in Raeford, North Carolina. This fun, fall-inspired celebration will feature Halloween-themed literacy games, costumes, and chances for every student to win free books and prizes. The event is funded by the F.R.E.S.H. Reads grant and is designed to promote a love of reading across all grade levels. As a special thank-you, military-connected parents and students will receive an extra treat during the event in appreciation for their service. Costumes are welcome—come ready for spooky fun and great books!
Evento de Lectura “Book or Treat”
Los Servicios de Bibliotecas y Medios de Comunicación de las Escuelas del Condado de Hoke invitan a las familias a nuestro evento Book or Treat el viernes 17 de octubre de 2025, de 6:00 a 8:00 p.m., en 311 North Bethel Road, Raeford, Carolina del Norte. Esta divertida celebración inspirada en el otoño contará con juegos de lectura con temática de Halloween, disfraces y la oportunidad para que cada estudiante gane libros y premios gratis. El evento está financiado por la subvención F.R.E.S.H. Reads y tiene como objetivo promover el amor por la lectura en todos los niveles escolares. Como muestra especial de agradecimiento, los padres y estudiantes vinculados al ejército recibirán un obsequio adicional durante el evento en reconocimiento a su servicio. ¡Los disfraces son bienvenidos—ven listo para disfrutar de una noche espeluznante llena de diversión y buenos libros!
