Hello, West Hoke Middle School Family! Do you want some free pizza AND ice cream?

As we all know, Beta has just started and so has our very first service project. We are working towards helping people in need and we hope you do too. Last year, as you know if you were here, we did the Pennies for Patients for people with Cancer. This year we’re doing a Canned Food Drive, for the Raeford Soup Kitchen and the Domestic Violence Shelter!

This program will run for only 3 WEEKS, from January 30 to Feb 17, 2023.

If you’re interested in playing a part in this, here are some things you can bring.

Non-perishable items. You can bring ANYTHING that can go WITHOUT being in a fridge. This includes canned foods, boxed foods, and anything else. Some examples of this are Peanut Butter, Canned beans, Canned or Dried Soups, Pasta, Cereal, Desert Mixes, Baby Food, Rice, and Granola Bars.

Hygiene Products. You can also bring anything that helps people get clean. Many people in shelters don’t have the resources to get clean, and YOU can change that. Some examples you can bring are soap, toothbrushes, shampoo, conditioner, brushes, combs, etc.

Something else you should know is every item you bring is worth only 1 POINT. If you bring a 5-pack of toothbrushes, that is worth 1 point; if you bring in 50 canned foods, that is worth 50 points.

Here’s the exciting part: if your homeroom collects the most items, you get a FREE PIZZA AND ICE CREAM PARTY! You have until February 13, 2023. Good luck.
