The NCDPI Office of Early Learning created Literacy at Home: Digital Children's Reading Initiative (DCRI). This digital bank of literacy activities is intended for families and the community in accordance with state law (SB 387 Part VIII). It is organized by grade level, pre-kindergarten through fifth grade, as well as by skill. The resources are aligned to the science of reading and aligned with the NC Standard Course of Study for each grade level. The DCRI is for families and communities to easily access free tools and resources for their PreK-5th grade students. All of the resources can be incorporated into everyday life and none require sign-in or passwords. Click here for grade-level literacy activities.
