• A MESSAGE FROM THE SUPERINTENDENT

    Dear Hoke County Schools Community,

Welcome to the 2022- 2023 school year! I hope everyone had an enjoyable and safe summer. Our Hoke County Schools team is excited to start our learning journey together and kick off the new school year. Our team is committed to working together to ensure the success of all of our students. As a resilient and ready school system, we will continuously grow and equip ourselves to be ready to overcome any unforeseen challenges in order to ensure an inclusive and supportive learning environment to prepare our future-ready students. We are Resilient and Ready!

Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, Hoke County Schools worked diligently to support a hybrid learning environment and implement a layered system of safety and support for our students. However, we recognize that the pandemic has had a profound and extensive impact on students’ learning and well-being.  As we prepare for this new school year, we are focused on learning recovery and acceleration, extended learning opportunities, and multi-tiered systems of support. Our 2021-2026 Strategic Plan will continue to serve as our roadmap for moving our school system forward. Despite all of the complexities of the pandemic, our Hoke County Schools staff, students, and family have persevered and demonstrated their resilience to help our district achieve amazing accomplishments and success.

Over the past several months, our district has worked closely with local law enforcement to conduct safety assessments in all of our schools and to increase safety protocols, such as student ID badges, aiphones, replacing doors and windows, and updating our bus camera system. We will continue to utilize several apps and programs, such as Rave, Here Comes the Bus, Gaggle, and GoGuardian as preventative measures. Schools will work with our School Resource Officers and local law enforcement to conduct drills on a regular basis and to teach clear safety procedures in the event of an emergency.

We are excited about the future of Hoke County Schools, our community, and most importantly our 9000+ students.  We appreciate the continued support as we partner together to build a student-focused learning community that fosters high expectations and prepares students for success.
