Our team meets on Tuesdays and Thursdays for rehearsals. The dance team is made up of 16 girls that perform in hip-hop, jazz, and modern dance. They will perform at many school functions such as pep rallies and winter/spring showcases. While being on the dance team, these girls are not only learning how to dance, but they are learning self-discipline, teamwork, respect, and responsibility.
The message that we want to send out is that dance is more than a skill to learn, it is an art form that can help grow self-confidence. Dance is a way to express oneself without ever having to speak and our team will spend this year showing that dance is more than just an extracurricular activity.
The second set of auditions will be held at the beginning of February for new students looking to try out.
We will be meeting every Tuesday and Thursday from 4:00 P.M. - 5:30 P.M.
